Shin Megami Tensei: Deep Strange Journey will be released on the Nintendo 3DS in Japan on October 26. I will warn you though, it’s all in Japanese, but the action that takes place seems to be fairly self-explanatory. The trailer shows off a number of environments that look like they’ve come straight out of the 2D Castlevania series, and that’s no bad thing. In Synchronicity Prologue, players take on the roles of Jack Frost and Jack Lantern as they make their way through the mysterious Black Forest Barth. Synchronicity Prologue was developed by Den-fami Nico Game Magazine’s Ladybug team, which had previously developed the PC game Pharaoh Rebirth+. Shin Megami Tensei: Synchronicity Prologue is a side-scrolling action game that was recently revealed during the latest trailer for the upcoming 3DS title Shin Megami Tensei: Deep Strange Journey, which is due to be released in Japan on October 26. If you want to give it a go you’ll have to be quick, as the game will only be available to download until December 24. The game is available now as a free download for PC. In celebration of 25 years of the Megami Tensei series of games, Atlus has released a Metroidvania-style game called Shin Megami Tensei: Synchronicity Prologue.
